Actually English because I grew up in San Francisco.

So you were born?

Hong Kong, I was born in Hong Kong.

And then brought to San Francisco at a very early age.

Does the family speak anything except English at home?

Cantonese, Mandarin and a little bit of French.

What did you think of the huge success of the movie?

I mean it’s phenomenal.

I think it’s a great movement for Asian people

and in the music business wise there has not been a successful Asian artist

and hopefully I’m able to change that.

Why not?

Maybe it’s just with time eventually people will learn to accept

Asian people singing American songs or something like that.

It’s always tough for the first one

 but I believe through time we can do it.
